You will work on your own supervising children brushing their teeth, but you will have regular contact with the NHS Orkney Oral Health Team. Appropriate and relevant experience of working with children is essential, as is awareness and ability to follow health and safety, infection control and confidentiality guidance. The hours are worked around school timetables and breaks, four days per week.

You should be able to travel efficiently and effectively between work locations within Orkney to meet the operational requirements of the Service. This post is subject to Level 2 Disclosure Check with PVG for working in a regulated role with children.

Prospective applicants are invited to contact Karyn Tait, Oral Health Team Lead, NHS Orkney for further details at the Dental Department, The Balfour, Kirkwall, KW15 1NZ on 888258 or karyn.tait@nhs.scot. Applications close at 23:59 on Sunday 24 May 2026.
