Stromness Swimming Pool is seeking a Relief Lifeguard. Hours are offered on an as and when required basis at £16.03 per hour, which includes Distant Islands Allowance. A shift allowance will be paid for unsocial hours worked where appropriate.
The Relief Lifeguard will be responsible for effectively carrying out the operational procedures of the pool and fitness facilities, as well as assisting the management team. You will be expected to work shifts covering school and public sessions throughout the opening hours.
A current National Pool Lifeguard Qualification is essential, or you must be willing to achieve this qualification within 6 months of appointment. The role will also involve swimming teacher/coaching responsibilities, with training available.
You should be able to work as part of a team, providing an excellent standard of cleanliness and customer care. This post is subject to a Level 2 Disclosure Check with PVG for working in a regulated role with children.
