Burray Primary School is looking for positive and enthusiastic individuals to help deliver the Childsmile Toothbrushing Programme for children. The post will involve organising and supervising children brushing their teeth as part of the NHS Orkney Childsmile Toothbrushing Programme.
You will work on your own supervising children brushing their teeth, but you will have regular contact with the NHS Orkney Oral Health Team. While your role is not to brush children’s teeth, you will be there to encourage the children to brush their teeth well and develop this important lifetime habit.
Appropriate and relevant experience of working with children is essential, as is awareness and ability to follow health and safety, infection control and confidentiality guidance. The hours are worked around school timetables and breaks, four days per week.
You should be able to travel efficiently and effectively between work locations within Orkney to meet the operational requirements of the Service. This post is subject to Level 2 Disclosure Check with PVG for working in a regulated role with children.
