Kirkwall Grammar School are looking for a Librarian to manage the School Library Resource Centre. You will lead the strategy for the development of an innovative School Library which is integrated into the life of the whole school. Applicants should be responsive to the fast-changing world of communication and information technology and be able to meet the needs of young people in the 21st century. You will contribute towards good order and the wider needs of the school.
You will hold an Honours Degree or other equivalent SCQF10 qualification in Librarianship or Librarianship and Information Science. A general degree with a Post Graduate Certificate or Diploma in Librarianship or Librarianship and Information Science will also be acceptable.
This post is subject to membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme in respect of regulated work with children.
