Social Care Assistant at Sunnybrae Centre, 29.6 hours per week, Permanent.

£34,468 - £35,168 pro-rata (£17.87 - £18.23 per hour). The above amount includes Shift Allowance and Distant Islands Allowance.

You will be reporting to the Registered Manager. Your working pattern is on a shift rota basis, including work on weekends, evenings and public holidays. We are happy to talk flexible working, where possible.

The purpose of this role is to provide person-centred care to individuals to enable them to live as independently as possible, in line with the principles of the Health and Social Care Standards and the Scottish Social Services Council Codes of Practice and local and national policies in relation to the protection of vulnerable adults.

As a Social Care Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in supporting tenants with daily living, wellbeing and maintaining the routines and independence that matter most to them. No two days are the same – from supporting with personal care and mobility to sharing a chat, encouraging social connections and helping people stay active and involved in their community.

We’re looking for someone who is compassionate, patient and motivated, with a positive attitude and a natural ability to build trusting relationships. You’ll need to be a good team player who can also work independently, use initiative and take pride in providing high-quality, person-centred care.
