We are looking to recruit a committed and enthusiastic individual to become part of the Customer Service team within the Orkney Ferries offices. This position represents a challenging opportunity assisting in a range of duties including customer services, dealing with enquiries and taking bookings and details for the Ferry booking system and administrative support.
Candidates should hold a qualification at SCQF 5/6 i.e., SVQ2, National 5, Standard Grades, O Grade, Intermediate 2, SVQ3, Higher, National Certificate, Foundation Apprenticeship, or, where the essential qualification is not held, you should have a minimum of 2 years previous relevant experience, as detailed in the experience section of this person specification.
Candidates will also be able to demonstrate the ability to establish good working relationships with all levels of staff and to provide a professional service to the public. With a busy workload you must be organised and able to work on own initiative and prioritise work in order to cope with tight deadlines. Excellent organisational, administrative and communication skills are essential for this role.
