£34,850 - £35,571 pro rata / £18.06 - £18.44 per hour (including shift allowance and Distant Islands Allowance)
You will provide person centred care to individuals to enable them to live as independently as possible, in line with the principles of the Health and Social Care Standards and the Scottish Social Services Codes of practice and local and national policies in relation to the protection of vulnerable adults.
You will have the ability to treat people with dignity, respect and compassion and ensure people are included in and supported to make decisions for themselves.
You will have good written and verbal communication skills and show a basic understanding of health and safety for yourself and others including risk assessment.
You will hold or achieve within 3 years, an SVQ 2 (SCQF Level 6) in Health and Social Care or other equivalent level qualification accepted by SSSC for registration.
This post is subject to Level 2 Disclosure Check with PVG for working in a regulated role with protected adults.
