Smiddybrae House, Dounby

33.47 hours Permanent

£42,870 - £43,768 / £44,820 - £48,001 pro rata

£22.22 - £22.69 / £23.23 - £24.88 per hour

The above amounts include shift and Distant Islands Allowance. You will be reporting to the Registered Manager. Your working pattern is night shifts only on a rota basis, including weekends and public holidays. We are happy to talk flexible working, where possible.

The purpose of this role is to provide a high standard of care to older people, in line with policy and procedure, professional guidelines and social care principles. Promoting optimum and meaningful quality of life for service users undertaking duties efficiently and effectively.

You will be required to carry out tasks and duties delegated by senior staff in an effective and efficient manner, ensuring at all times the social and domestic care needs of service users. You will observe the principles of confidentiality in all aspects of practice and ensure the safety and comfort of service users, attending to their general care and wellbeing, including assisting with personal care in keeping with the standards of care required by the Care Inspectorate.

Previous experience in social care is essential. Applicants must be registered with the SSSC as a Practitioner in a Care Home Service for Adults or achieve this within 3 months of appointment.

This post is a regulated role with adults and requires Level 2 Disclosure with PVG scheme membership.
