£31,601 – £33,791 / £34,320 – £36,985 pro rata

£17.32 – £18.52 / £18.81 – £20.27 per hour

The Lifestyles Service is located in Kirkwall with bases at the Pickaquoy Centre and St. Colms Cafe and Crafts, providing person centred day services and employment skills development opportunities for adults with a range of learning disabilities.

We are seeking to recruit an experienced and highly motivated person to take forward the Scottish Government\’s agenda identified in The Keys to Life and the Health and Social Care Standards, promoting collaborative working with the individual and across all partners; working to maximise individual\’s health, wellbeing and quality of life.

You will need to have experience of person-centred planning, developing and reviewing support plans and delivering to assessed outcomes. Effective leadership, organisational and communication skills are essential, as are a flexibility and ability to manage change.

The post holder will work across both bases and in the community depending on the requirements and needs of the service and service users.

To be appointed at Grade F:

You should hold a minimum of an SVQ2 in Social Services and Health Care with a requirement to achieve an SVQ3 or HNC in Social Services and Health Care within 3 years of appointment.

To be appointed at Grade G:

You should hold a minimum of SVQ3 or HNC in Social Services and Health Care or equivalent in accordance with the SSSC qualification requirements for registration.

You should be able to travel efficiently and effectively between work locations within Orkney to meet the operational requirements of the Service.

This post is subject to Level 2 Disclosure Check with PVG for working in a regulated role with protected adults.
