You will be reporting to the Service Manager Trading Standards. Your working pattern is 2 days per week, 9am – 5pm. We are happy to talk flexible working, where possible.
The purpose of this role is to provide the full range of Trading Standards statutory duties in line with any applicants' qualification, ensuring a fair and safe trading environment in Orkney is maintained, covering diverse areas of work including consumer and business advice, legal metrology, product safety, animal welfare and fair trading/scams.
You should have good knowledge of computer systems as the record keeping and database management systems required in the role are all computer based.
