The above amounts include Distant Islands Allowance.

You will report to the Health and Care SVQ Co-ordinator. Your working pattern will be flexible with preferred core hours on Tuesday.

The purpose of this role is to assess Health and Social Care SVQ awards at SVQ 2 (Level 6) and SVQ 3 (Level 7) undertaken by candidates employed by local care services.

Your role will include:

  • Supporting candidates undertaking SVQ 2 and 3 in Social Services & Healthcare
  • Working closely with the SVQ team and employers to monitor student progress
  • Enhancing practice with relevant occupational standards
  • Visiting candidates in their place of work for observed assessment
  • Keeping timely and accurate records
  • Planning assessments
  • Candidate induction, support and guidance

Knowledge and experience of relevant healthcare/social care codes of practice are required.

This post requires a Level 2 Disclosure with PVG scheme membership.
