Kirkwall Grammar School is seeking suitable candidates for the position of Support for Learning Assistant. The roles available are as follows:
- 1 x 12.66 hours per week, Term Time
- 1 x 12 hours per week, Term Time
- 1 x 27 hours per week, Term Time
This is a permanent position with a salary range of £29,148 - £29,732 / £30,389 - £31,009 pro rata (£15.97 - £16.29 / £16.65 - £16.99 per hour). The above amounts include Distant Islands Allowance.
As a member of the school team, you will be expected to work with pupils, colleagues, and parents. Candidates should have experience in working with young people and be committed to supporting, encouraging, and including all children in achieving their potential.
To be appointed at Grade D, applicants should have a good general standard of education, including evidence of competency in literacy and numeracy, and will be required to achieve an SCQF level 5 qualification (e.g., SVQ2, NC or PDA) in a relevant subject area within 3 years of taking up the post.
To be appointed at Grade E, applicants should have a good general standard of education, including evidence of competency in literacy and numeracy, and hold an SCQF level 5 qualification (e.g., SVQ2, NC or PDA) in a relevant subject area.
This post is subject to Level 2 Disclosure Check with PVG for working in a regulated role with children.
