The predicted salary is between 37542 - 41010 Β£ per year.
We are looking for a Projects Officer to support progression of the Council's Strategic Projects. This is a truly exciting opportunity to play a key role in the delivery of transformational renewable energy projects under development by the Council, which includes the Orkney Community Wind Farms project. You will be experienced in project management and have good knowledge of the renewable energy industry. It is considered beneficial if you also have experience of managing contractors and consultants, and in working on collaborative projects with third party funding.
The role is technical, and you will be undertaking a technical, project management, and at times public facing role. As such we expect you to be diligent, informed and technically astute, but also to be motivated and passionate about Orkney and about working hard to deliver benefit to local communities.
The minimum knowledge required for this role can be evidenced by either holding a qualification at SCQF 8/9 i.e. SVQ4, HND, General Degree, Higher Apprenticeship, Technical Apprenticeship in a relevant subject area or where this is not held, you should have a minimum of 5 years previous relevant experience.
This post requires Level 1 Disclosure Scotland clearance.
