You will be reporting to the Business Manager.

Your working pattern is Monday to Friday. We are happy to talk flexible working where possible.

The purpose of this role is to supervise a small team of support staff,
\n providing an efficient support service to the teaching staff of Kirkwall Grammar School.
\n Kirkwall Grammar School is seeking to appoint an experienced, proactive and highly organised Senior Technician to lead our technical support provision across the school. Working as the supervisor for the school’s wider technician team, the successful candidate will provide leadership, coordination and technical expertise, ensuring that staff and pupils have access to reliable, effective and secure IT systems and resources.

The postholder will take a lead role in the management and development of the school’s technical services, working closely with the Senior Leadership Team and other staff to ensure that technology supports learning, teaching and the wider operation of the school.
\n
The successful candidate will provide technical, practical and organisational support to staff and pupils, helping to ensure that equipment, resources and learning environments are safe, well maintained and ready for use. You will work closely with teaching staff to support practical lessons and activities, preparing and maintaining equipment and materials.
\n

This post is a regulated role with children and requires Level 2 Disclosure with PVG scheme membership.
