The predicted salary is between 13 - 16 £ per hour.
Hours are offered on an as and when required basis at £15.45 per hour. The above amount includes Distant Islands Allowance. You will be reporting to the Registered Manager and Senior Lifestyles Co-Ordinator. Your working pattern will be on an as and when required basis.
The purpose of this role is to ensure that those people using the services of Orkney Health and Care, particularly the Lifestyles Service, are safely transported between the Lifestyles Service bases, home, and community-based opportunities as required. This includes:
- Ensuring the provision of transport services which are flexible and responsive to meet the individual needs of people using the Lifestyles Service.
- Promoting the personal dignity and rights of individuals.
- Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of people using the service whilst they are in transit.
- Establishing, developing, and maintaining effective professional working relationships with service users, their carers, and other service providers.
- Adhering to each individual's support plan, medication, and behaviour protocols while using the transport.
- Assisting service users with their personal care and dietary requirements whilst in the community and within the Lifestyles Service.
- Making sure that service users are assisted to safely board/disembark from the vehicle.
- Assisting the Senior Lifestyles Co-Ordinator/Registered Manager in the organisation of transport arrangements as required.
- Ensuring adherence to the Transport Policy and other related policies, and attending transport meetings as required.
