We are recruiting for a compassionate person who enjoys helping others and wants to make a real difference in people’s lives, working at night when the environment is quieter and more focused.
As a Night Social Care Assistant, you’ll provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to older people in their own homes during night hours, ensuring their comfort, safety and wellbeing throughout your shift. Your work will include:
- Responding to care needs
- Offering reassurance and companionship
- Supporting individuals with dignity and respect
You’ll work closely with colleagues and senior staff, communicating clearly and taking initiative to ensure seamless continuity of care between day and night teams. You’ll contribute to a supportive, motivated team culture where everyone’s input is valued, and where your calm, dependable nature can make a meaningful difference.
Applicants should be reliable and comfortable working independently at night. The minimum knowledge required for this role is SVQ2 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent), or a willingness and ability to achieve this within three years, together with registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC). This post is subject to Level 2 Disclosure Check with PVG for working in a regulated role with protected adults.
