The purpose of this role is to provide a high standard of care for children and young people with additional support needs placed at Aurrida House.

Your main duties will be to provide high-quality, person-centred care and support tailored to the individual needs of children and young people. Supporting children to access learning, play and social opportunities in a safe and inclusive environment.

The necessary qualification, experience and skills required for this role are SVQ3 Social Services (Children and Young People), at SCQF Level 7 AND HNC Social Services or other relevant qualification(s) to enable registration with SSSC as a Practitioner in Residential Childcare Services or requirement to achieve relevant qualification(s) within 3 years of appointment.

You will be reporting to Sally Flett, Registered Manager and Sarah Muir, Senior Social Care Worker.

Your working pattern is 2 x 11.5 hours shifts per week on a rolling rota, as per service requirements. This could be subject to change to meet service demands.

This post involves a contractual requirement to:

  • participate in a standby rota covering out of hours.

This post requires a regulated role with children and adults and requires Level 2 Disclosure with PVG scheme membership.
