Are you under 25, live in Orkney and looking to take your first step into a caring role? Working Monday to Friday in a fun, varied and lively workplace, you will create and maintain positive relationships with people with an underlying caring nature. You will become part of an established and very supportive team that provides person centred, quality services to Adults with Learning Disabilities.
You will work alongside and support individuals safely on transport and with a wide range of different activities within service and in the community as required to meet individuals' person centred needs and achieve their goals. A good general standard of education is required including literacy and numeracy. Prior direct experience of caring is not essential.
On the job guidance, mentorship, supervision and training will be given, with the opportunity provided to study for a fully funded SVQ2 in Social Care. The successful individual must adhere to the SSSC codes of practice for Social Service Workers and the Health and Social Care Standards. The post is subject to Level 2 Disclosure Check with PVG for working in a regulated role with vulnerable adults.
