The predicted salary is between 17.51 - 17.51 £ per hour.

A Modern Apprenticeship in Social Care at Sunnybrae Centre offers 22.3 hours per week on a temporary basis until 31 August 2028, with a salary of £33,534 - £33,789 pro rata (£17.38 - £17.51 per hour). The role involves shift working over seven days, with flexibility where possible.

The purpose of this role is to provide an excellent opportunity to begin a rewarding career supporting adults within a supported living environment. You will be required to carry out tasks and duties delegated by senior staff in an effective and efficient manner, ensuring the social and domestic care needs of service users are met. You will observe the principles of confidentiality in all aspects of practice and ensure the safety and comfort of service users, attending to their general care and wellbeing, including assisting with personal care in accordance with the standards required by the Care Inspectorate.

Working towards an SVQ 2 in Social Services and Healthcare through Orkney College, you will gain practical experience alongside a supportive and experienced staff team. You will learn how to provide person-centred support, promote independence, and help people to live fulfilling lives within their community.

This post involves a contractual requirement to work unsocial hours on a rota. This post is a regulated role with adults and requires Level 2 Disclosure with PVG scheme membership.
