The above amounts include Distant Islands Allowance. You will be reporting to the Team Manager, Operational Support.

Your working pattern is Monday - Friday 9am to 5pm. We are happy to talk flexible working, where possible.

The purpose of this role is to provide administrative and business support, normally within the employing Service but also throughout the Council, according to demand.

We are looking for a suitable candidate who will form part of an established Operational Support team which provides all aspects of administrative support within Infrastructure and Organisational Development.

The post holder will also be expected, as required, to assist with work across other areas of the Operational Support Team to link in with current multi-tasking arrangements.

The post holder will be required to undertake a wide variety of duties within this demanding environment. We therefore require someone who can demonstrate strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise their own workload whilst working under pressure and to strict deadlines.

A core element of the role will be to provide support to a number of team members. It also involves regular contact and liaison with the General Public.

To fulfil these requirements, you will need to be an articulate communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
