You will be reporting to PJ Dewar, Team Manager. Your working pattern is Monday - Friday. We are happy to talk flexible working, where possible.

The purpose of this role is to provide administrative and business support. We require an administrator to join the Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) within Orkney Health & Care. A keen and enthusiastic individual, with excellent interpersonal skills is required to provide efficient and comprehensive administrative support to the Community Mental Health Team.

As the successful candidate you will have previous experience working in a busy office. We require the candidate to be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages, be able to create appointments for patients using electronic systems and input data onto a wide range of databases.

The duties of this post will include administrative support to co-ordinate appointments for the Community Mental Health Team clinicians. You will be part of a team covering for and assisting other administrative members. You will need to be able to work under pressure to strict deadlines, use your own initiative, maintain confidentiality and be able to work unsupervised.

We are looking for a good communicator with excellent organisational skills as you will be part of a team liaising with members of the public, patients, families, external agencies and professionals. The most important quality is a positive and non-discriminatory attitude towards people who are experiencing mental health problems and their families.

This post is a regulated role with adults and requires Level 2 Disclosure with PVG scheme membership.
