Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Factory Manager to lead operations in our busy seafood processing facility, with a strong focus on crab processing. This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned professional to live and work in one of the UK’s most stunning coastal locations while managing a high-quality, export-focused production line.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily running of the crab/seafood processing plant, ensuring efficiency, safety, and quality standards.
  • Lead, motivate, and manage a multi-skilled production team.
  • Implement and maintain strict hygiene, food safety, and quality control systems (HACCP, BRC, SALSA, etc.).
  • Manage production planning, workflow, and output to meet seasonal demand and export deadlines.
  • Monitor and control budgets, costs, and resources effectively.
  • Maintain compliance with all relevant UK/EU seafood processing regulations.
  • Liaise with suppliers, buyers, logistics partners, and regulatory bodies.

Essential Criteria:

  • Proven management experience in seafood processing, ideally crab processing.
  • Strong leadership skills with a hands-on, problem-solving approach.
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety, quality assurance, and compliance standards.
