The Retail Marketing Manager sits within the Sales & Marketing team, responsible for the planning, coordination and delivery of Healthspan's retail store and local marketing activity. This is a hands‑on role spanning the Guernsey shop and UK retail store estate, requiring strong organisational skills, commercial awareness and the ability to manage multiple priorities across locations.
For the Guernsey shop, the role owns the annual marketing plan, local promotions, campaign coordination and performance reporting, working closely with the shop manager and internal teams to ensure activity is delivered, reviewed and continuously improved. For Healthspan's UK retail stores, the role plays an important part in launch and ongoing activation: managing local launch plans, coordinating store‑specific activity, overseeing community marketing and local media, and ensuring store teams have the information and materials needed to bring campaigns to life.
A core part of the remit is acting as the key marketing point of contact for store managers, translating central plans into clear, practical actions for store teams. This requires strong communication, attention to detail and the confidence to work independently with stakeholders across marketing, design, CRM, commercial planning and retail operations. The role also contributes to wider campaign planning, ensuring retail and local marketing priorities are represented in trading plans, product launches, promotional activity and customer engagement campaigns.
Based in Guernsey, with regular UK travel expected to support store launches, local activation, store visits, agency meetings and campaign planning.
The Individual
We are looking for a proactive, commercially minded Marketing Manager with a genuine interest in physical retail, local community marketing and customer experience. The successful candidate will combine hands‑on delivery with the confidence to operate as a senior point of contact for store teams, balancing central marketing priorities with the realities of running activity at a local store level. They will thrive in a fast‑paced environment as Healthspan expands its retail store presence, and will bring the ownership, judgement and stakeholder skills needed to make retail marketing a genuine driver of store performance.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
- Guernsey Shop Marketing
- Own the development and delivery of the Guernsey shop marketing plan to help deliver budgeted growth.
- Liaise with the Guernsey shop manager on the implementation of promotional and marketing campaigns.
- Work with internal teams to deliver locally targeted marketing activity.
- Coordinate local media activity, including liaising with media partners, gathering costs and supporting negotiations to secure favourable terms and placements.
- Support local social media activity, including briefing content requirements and ensuring activity is aligned with the wider marketing plan.
- UK Retail Store Marketing Activation
- Deliver local marketing plans for Healthspan's UK retail stores.
- Coordinate store‑specific marketing activity, including local print, press, door drops, digital, social, PR, community activity and in‑store promotional materials.
- Work with the Sales & Marketing Director and wider project stakeholders to ensure local marketing activity is delivered on time and to the required standard.
- Plan and execute launch promotions and customer engagement activity.
- Coordinate marketing requirements for new store openings, including timelines, asset requirements, approvals and launch checklists.
- Store Manager Communications
- Act as a marketing point of contact for store managers, ensuring they receive clear and timely information about planned campaigns and promotional activity.
- Translate central marketing plans into practical store‑level actions, supporting store teams with the information and materials required to deliver activity effectively.
- Gather feedback from store teams on customer response, local opportunities, campaign execution and operational considerations.
- Maintain clear communication trackers, action logs and campaign updates to support smooth delivery across multiple store locations.
- Campaign Planning & Local Marketing
- Represent retail and local marketing priorities in the campaign planning process.
- Ensure retail stores are appropriately supported within seasonal campaigns, promotions and product launches.
- Work closely with wider marketing teams to align local activity with broader brand and customer objectives.
- Identify opportunities for local partnerships, community engagement and store‑level awareness activity.
- Reporting & Analysis
- Track, monitor and report on the effectiveness of retail marketing activity.
- Review campaign performance, sales data and local activity outcomes to identify opportunities for optimisation and improvement.
- Support budget tracking and management of local marketing spend.

- Experience working across multiple marketing channels, including print, digital, social, email, PR and in‑store/POS.
