Orka Financial are working with a great client of ours who are based in Slough that is looking to recruit a Trainee Accounts Assistant. This role reports into the Financial Controller and will carry out routine accounting and administrative tasks to support the finance team.
The role includes:
- Processing supplier invoices and ensuring they are recorded accurately.
- Assisting with basic bookkeeping tasks, including posting transactions to the accounting system.
- Supporting with processing employee expense claims and maintaining petty cash records.
- Carrying out routine financial administration, including filing and document maintenance.
- Assisting with data entry, reconciliations, and other routine finance tasks as directed.
- Providing cover for team members during absence or busy periods.
- Following established finance procedures and maintaining accurate records.
Key Skills:
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow procedures and maintain consistent standards.
- Basic IT skills, including use of spreadsheets.
- Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively.
- Organised and able to manage routine tasks reliably.
- Working towards AAT or willing to enrol.
- No previous finance experience required; training will be provided.
