Orka Financial is working with a global consumer goods business based in Slough (hybrid) to recruit an experienced, commercially minded accountant for the Senior Finance Analyst position. This team has a wealth of experience offering an excellent place for an ambitious finance professional to develop and progress. This role will offer direct line management to a small team of analysts while also giving exposure to senior stakeholders throughout the business and requires a candidate with excellent leadership, communication and business partnering skills. Previous direct line management is a must.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver meaningful value adding analysis and recommendations which highlight key trends and issues in operational performance to support strategic goals and budget setting processes.
- Provide high quality financial guidance to internal and external stakeholders based on commercial insight, market context and business strategy to support decision making and identify commercial opportunities.
- Work closely with the Head of Department, playing a key role in transforming finance across the business.
- Be a senior leader within the Finance team dedicated to supporting, challenging and improving commercial focus.
- Manage, lead, coach and develop a small team.
- Act as a true Business Partner to Sales, Operations and Marketing teams to improve business performance and profitability.
Profile:
- Qualified CIMA / ACCA / ACA
- 5 years experience in Business Partnering / Commercial Finance
- Experience in line management
- Experience in an FP&A environment dealing with variance analysis reporting
- Experience working to strict deadlines
- Advanced Excel skills
- Power BI Desktop report building skills (preferable)
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong problem solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- 'Can do' attitude and strong team ethic
- Methodical thinker working well under pressure
- Excellent organisation skills
Salary: £58,000 - £65,000 + benefits
