Orka Financial is seeking an experienced Senior Credit Controller to join their clients finance team based in Reading. The role will focus on managing complex debtor accounts, improving credit control processes, resolving disputes, and supporting strong cash collection performance. You will play a key role in reducing aged debt, producing insightful reports, and working closely with internal teams and customers to minimise financial risk.
Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of key and complex debtor accounts, ensuring timely collection of outstanding balances.
- Investigate and resolve complex debtor queries and disputes to achieve successful outcomes.
- Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements to enhance credit control efficiency and cash collection performance.
- Produce and analyse aged debt, collections, and performance reports, providing actionable insights to management.
- Monitor credit risk and take proactive steps to minimise bad debt exposure.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders to support effective debt recovery.
- Support the development and implementation of best-practice credit control procedures.
- Ensure accurate account reconciliations and maintain high standards of debtor ledger management.
- Assist with month-end reporting and provide updates on collection activity, debtor trends.
