Orka Financial is recruiting for an Assistant Management Accountant to join their clients growing finance team, based in Reading. This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for month-end processes, management accounts, reconciliations, and financial reporting. You will work closely with the wider finance team to ensure strong financial control and reliable reporting across the business.
- Prepare monthly management accounts
- Assist with the preparation of consolidated group P&L reports
- Produce monthly variance analysis
- Prepare weekly financial reports including P&L
- Prepare and post month-end journals, including accruals, prepayments, payroll, and deferred income
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis
- Maintain accruals and prepayments schedules across multiple sites
- Assist with intercompany reconciliations and journal postings
- Assist with cost analysis across operational sites
- Support cash flow forecasting with senior management
- Assist and improve finance processes
- Maintain clear and accurate documentation of finance procedures
Experience
- Finance or Assistant Management Accountant role
- Understanding of management accounts and month-end processes
- Comfortable working with journals, accruals, and reconciliations
- Strong Excel skills
