Our client is a growing group c£170m who consistently maintain a reputation for quality and service excellence. The Management Accountant role will suit a progressive part to newly qualified ACCA/ CIMA Accountant. Reporting to the Senior Group Management Accountant, the role will assist in providing timely, accurate and insightful management accounts, work with Finance Business Partners, the wider Group Finance team and both operational and support function stakeholders to analyse month end results and produce accurate forecasts.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate reporting of financial transactions, identifying and resolving any matters arising.
  • Review overheads costs to ensure that coding is correct, and all variances are explained.
  • Produce and process period end journals.
  • Carry out continuous reviews of processes to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations.
  • Communicate and interpret financial data for non-financial managers.
  • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Provide accurate and insightful variance analysis to assist in delivering comprehensive reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist in driving improvements in management reporting, ensuring it meets the needs of all users and is regularly reviewed for its relevance.
  • Participation in the regular forecasting and annual budget process (including cash & capex) ensuring that the business is aware of and adheres to the agreed timetable and has clear instruction on the budget assumptions and methodology.
  • Support the Senior Group Management Accountant and the Finance Business Partners to produce variance analysis of forecast and budget variances for management reporting packs.
  • Assist with short term cash forecasting process.
  • Provide ad hoc reports to the business as requested.
  • Participate in the annual external audit process, providing information and support during the audit engagement.
  • Ad hoc projects such as system implementation and month end process improvement (to reduce the number of reporting days).
  • Work with the wider Finance team to improve processes and internal controls.

A salary of £45,000-£50,000 is on offer plus bonus and benefits.
