About the Company: Orka Financial is currently partnering with a very successful services business based in Maidenhead that is looking to recruit a Group Finance Director. This is an exciting time to join as the business has enjoyed significant growth over the last few years and is showing no signs of slowing down with further expansion plans in place. The business is looking for someone who can influence and be part of further growth. The business currently operates across 10+ countries and is looking to expand this rapidly. This role is a key position in the senior leadership team, reporting into the CEO and partnering with senior managers across the business.
Role Overview: The Group Finance Director will have a varied role managing a finance team of 7 and having overall responsibility for the finance function and ensuring systems and processes are robust, properly implemented, and scalable.
Responsibilities:
- Full ownership of the month-end management accounts, including presentation of results to the senior leadership team
- Preparing and submitting statutory accounts for 10+ entities
- Key point of contact to the external auditors
- Consolidating a quarterly group cash flow forecast on a weekly basis, including presentation to the CEO
- Monitoring and advising on key cash flow movements
- Managing the annual budgeting process and reporting on performance
- Tax compliance across all entities
- Commercial and operational business partnering, reporting on sales and operational performance and providing guidance and influencing when necessary
- Managing the finance team
- Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency
Qualifications:
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with experience in a number 1 finance role reporting to a CEO/MD/Owner.
- Experience of working for a business that operates in multiple countries and is an SME.
- Experience of developing and producing timely and accurate management reports and implementing robust financial controls is required.
- A can-do, problem-solving, proactive approach is essential.
Additional Information: This is a great role that someone can really make their own. The role is based in Maidenhead and is office based with parking. Salary up to £110,000 DOE.
