Orka Financial is recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to join their clients growing finance team based in Reading. To take ownership of a diverse client portfolio. You’ll play a key role in delivering accurate and timely financial information while supporting regulatory compliance and client communication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage day-to-day accounting tasks for a portfolio of clients.
  • Complete monthly reconciliations across all balance sheet accounts.
  • Prepare and post journal entries with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Finalise and deliver comprehensive management accounts packs.
  • Compile and submit VAT returns in line with statutory deadlines.
  • Assist with the production of year-end financial statements
  • Prepare FCA regulatory filings in accordance with reporting standards.
  • Support the calculation and review of P11D benefits and PSA submissions.
  • Act as a key point of contact for auditors, facilitating the upload of documentation across various platforms.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in a similar role
  • Currently studying towards ACCA/CIMA/AAT
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and spoken.
