Orka Financial is currently partnering with a successful growing business in Reading that is looking to recruit a Finance Manager (EMEA) to join the team. The role reports into the International Controller. The Finance Manager will be responsible for 2 reports and oversee month-end close and multiple core processes critical to the group including the accounting for fixed assets, accruals, expenses, cash intercompany, and preparation of the company’s annual financial statements.
Duties will include:
- Responsible for timely and accurate period-end financial reporting and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Management of a team of 2 including planning, assigning, and directing work.
- Month End Close / VAT Returns.
- Support the Controller on ensuring full compliance with statutory reporting filings, audits, and any local tax filings and regulations.
- Liaison with Auditors.
- Partner with the operations finance team to ensure timing of accruals is accounted for accurately.
- Assist the Controller with the budget / forecast of OpEx & expenditures for the EMEA region.
- Review and analyse variances in actual amounts compared to budget / forecast.
- Support the Controller to develop robust processes.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with strong accounting experience.
- Managerial experience (managing a small team).

The role is based in Reading. Parking is provided and the role is hybrid (2 days a week office based). Salary is up to £70,000 dependent upon experience. Bonus and benefits are available.
