Orka Financial is working with an established business in Reading, that is looking to hire an experienced Part-Time Bookkeeper to support a small, well-established finance team. This is a flexible role, ideal for someone seeking work-life balance while contributing their expertise to a growing organisation. (20 hours)
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate day-to-day bookkeeping using Xero
- Manage accounts payable and receivable
- Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Process purchase and sales invoices
- Support VAT returns and ensure compliance with HMRC deadlines
- Assist with month-end processes and reporting
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
- Provide ad-hoc support to the wider finance team as required
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in a bookkeeping role
- Strong working knowledge of Xero (essential)
- Good understanding of VAT and basic accounting principles
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
