Our client is a growing £15m tech business who are part of a wider group. The Financial Controller will enjoy full autonomy and ownership of the finance function reporting into the Managing Director.
Responsibilities:
- Work within a great leadership team to add value and drive the business forward, maximise EBIT and operational excellence.
- Design, implementation and distribution of first-class monthly reporting pack to management team.
- Develop and maintain in-depth understanding of gross margins and Cost of sales.
- Understand balance sheet accounts and risk therein, including calculating stock/receivables impairment.
- Work with operational team to support stock takes.
- Day to day management of transaction processing/support staff (x 2).
- All aspects of management accounts prep including journal preparation and IFRS16 with month end close delivered in line with Group and Regional timetables.
- Other Group reporting (intercompany and liquidity forecast).
- Working with Management to produce annual budget and interim forecasts.
- Project Accounting review, reporting and control including POC revenue review and partnering with Ops Project Manager.
- Balance sheet account reconciliation monthly/quarterly.
- Submission of reports through portal to Group and resolving issues which arise.
- Monthly payroll and pension calculations and submission.
- Tax calculations and payment thereof including VAT, Corporation Tax, PSA and PAYE.
- Twice yearly dividend payments.
- Year-end reporting and annual audit including delivery of annual statutory accounts (support from Regional Finance team).
- Supporting/mentoring transaction processing staff to ensure key suppliers are reconciled and payments kept up to date, and overdue debt is monitored to avoid operational delays.
A salary of £75,000-£80,000 is on offer plus 10% bonus.
