Orka Financial is working with a leading engineering services provider and is seeking an Accounts Assistant to provide crucial support to our Finance Manager based in Staines. This role offers a varied and challenging opportunity with exposure to all aspects of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and process sales invoices and statements.
- Conduct credit control and reconciliation of sales ledger to nominal.
- Process supplier invoices, company credit cards, and personal expenses.
- Prepare and process Bacs payment runs and reconcile supplier statements.
- Perform bank reconciliations and manage petty cash.
- Maintain Excel cash book.
- Enter weekly timesheets and run all weekly payroll reports.
- Manage weekly employee payments and CIS.
- Conduct monthly financial reporting including Balance Sheet, P&L, and Trial Balance.
- Run weekly job costing reports.
- Manage and check monthly and quarterly VAT returns.
Key Skills
- Proven experience in a similar Finance Assistant role or a degree within Accounting and Finance.
- Ability to work independently and unsupervised.
- Strong business acumen and practical common sense.
- Preferred experience with Sage.
Salary: £25,000-£32,000 DOE + Further benefits
