Orka Financial is recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join their clients growing team based in Wokingham. The role is responsible for providing accurate day-to-day finance support. The successful candidate will oversee transaction processing, bank reconciliations and support the preparation of year-end accounts with external accountants. The Accounts Assistant position involves regular communication with clients, so strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate books, including invoicing, receipts, and payment processing.
- Perform regular bank reconciliations across multiple accounts.
- Monitor outstanding balances and follow internal procedures for collection.
- Prepare and issue statements of account.
- Assist with month-end and year-end reporting.
- Support external accountants with year-end accounts and queries.
- Use accounting and management software systems confidently (training provided).
- Respond to telephone and email queries in a professional and timely manner.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with internal processes and controls.
- Identify opportunities to improve bookkeeping processes and efficiency.
- Contribute to a positive, organised, and business-focused team environment.
