Orka Financial is recruiting an Accounts Receivable Assistant for a permanent, full-time opportunity in High Wycombe. The role is fully office based and offers £25,000–£30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
The opportunity
Joining an established finance team, you will help keep customer accounts accurate, payments correctly allocated and queries moving towards resolution. This is a varied role for someone who enjoys combining detailed ledger work with regular communication across the business and with customers.
What you will be doing
• Prepare customer invoices, credit notes and account adjustments.
• Allocate incoming payments and reconcile customer balances.
• Investigate differences and support reconciliation of customer receipts.
• Monitor overdue balances and follow up remittance information.
• Provide statements, invoice copies and clear responses to account queries.
• Work with internal teams to resolve billing or payment issues.
• Contribute to receivables reporting, period-end activity and audit requests.
What you will bring
You will have previous accounts receivable or sales-ledger experience, confidence with numbers and careful attention to detail. Good Excel skills, professional communication and the ability to organise competing deadlines are important. Experience in a service business or with finance software would be helpful. AAT study or another relevant finance qualification would be welcome but is not essential.
