Oritain is a global leader in forensic origin verification, operating across multiple locations including Auckland, Dunedin, London, Singapore and Washington D.C. We are looking for an FP&A Lead to join our finance team in London.

About The Role

The FP&A Lead is a senior finance role at the heart of Oritain's planning and performance function, reporting to the Head of Financial Planning and Analysis. You will be responsible for driving strategic financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis across the business, acting as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and helping shape the decisions that determine how Oritain grows. This role combines strong technical finance capability with genuine commercial curiosity, and you will be energized by the opportunity to influence strategy through insight. You will lead and mentor an FP&A Analyst and work closely with commercial and operational leaders across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor financial performance against budget and forecast, identifying key variances and their drivers, and translating that analysis into clear, actionable insight for senior stakeholders.
  • Drive the preparation of board reports, investor presentations and executive dashboards, and provide financial recommendations to support strategic initiatives across the business.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support business planning, business cases and scenario analysis, and own the business's performance reporting and KPI frameworks, providing challenge and creating accountability across the organisation.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, gathering inputs, ensuring alignment on financial targets and acting as a proactive business partner to commercial and operational leaders, identifying risks and opportunities as they emerge.
  • Lead and mentor an FP&A Analyst and drive continuous improvement in FP&A processes, tools and reporting capabilities, ensuring robust controls and governance throughout.

Skills & Experience

  • You are a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with strong technical accounting knowledge and ideally at least five years of experience in FP&A or a related finance role.
  • You have excellent analytical skills, strong problem-solving capability and advanced financial modelling skills including proficiency in Excel.
  • You are an effective communicator with the ability to influence and build relationships across functions, and you are comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Experience in a scaling or international business would be an advantage.
