We sit at the intersection of forensic science and supply chain technology, harnessing science and data to verify the genuine origin of materials across the world's most critical commodities. Our mission is to protect people and the planet by ensuring transparency and integrity in global supply chains. As demand for supply chain transparency continues to grow, so does our ambition, and we are now seeking an FP&A Lead to join our finance team in London.

About the Role

The FP&A Lead is a senior finance role at the heart of Oritain's planning and performance function, reporting to the Head of Financial Planning and Analysis. You will be responsible for driving strategic financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis across the business, acting as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and helping shape the decisions that determine how Oritain grows. This is a role for someone who combines strong technical finance capability with genuine commercial curiosity, and who is energised by the opportunity to influence strategy through insight. You will lead and mentor an FP&A Analyst and work closely with commercial and operational leaders across the business. For a finance professional who wants to go beyond reporting and genuinely shape how a fast-growing, mission-driven business performs, this is a compelling opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

  • You will monitor financial performance against budget and forecast, identifying key variances and their drivers, and translating that analysis into clear, actionable insight for senior stakeholders.
  • You will drive the preparation of board reports, investor presentations and executive dashboards, and provide financial recommendations to support strategic initiatives across the business.
  • You will develop and maintain financial models to support business planning, business cases and scenario analysis, and own the business's performance reporting and KPI frameworks, providing challenge and creating accountability across the organisation.
  • Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, you will gather inputs, ensure alignment on financial targets and act as a proactive business partner to commercial and operational leaders, identifying risks and opportunities as they emerge.
  • You will also lead and mentor an FP&A Analyst and drive continuous improvement in FP&A processes, tools and reporting capabilities, ensuring robust controls and governance throughout.

Skills & Experience

  • You are a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with strong technical accounting knowledge and ideally at least five years of experience in FP&A or a related finance role.
  • You have excellent analytical skills, strong problem-solving capability and advanced financial modelling skills including proficiency in Excel.
  • You are an effective communicator with the ability to influence and build relationships across functions, and you are comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Experience in a scaling or international business would be an advantage.

Company Benefits

  • Hybrid working (minimum 3 days per week in our Farringdon office)
  • 35 days paid leave, inclusive of public holidays
  • Birthday off
  • Enhanced parental leave
  • Life insurance and critical illness cover
  • Choice of private medical insurance or annual health check
  • Employee Assistance Programme
  • Pension
  • Breakfast, snacks, Friday lunch and barista coffee in the office
  • Learning portal with over 100,000 assets for professional development
