We are looking for a Service Project Manager to take charge of coordinating service operations and providing technical support. In this key role, you’ll ensure our service team runs efficiently, projects are delivered on time, and customer expectations are met to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule and manage onsite engineers, ensuring client requirements are met promptly with minimal repeat visits.
- Work with the project management team to plan and book installation, repair, and upgrade works.
- Maximise service team efficiency, targeting 95% utilisation.
- Monitor resource allocation to optimise engineer productivity.
- Provide front-line technical support for our range of products and services.
- Investigate customer issues and provide lasting solutions to ensure satisfaction.
- Act as the main point of contact for clients regarding service schedules, work scopes, and parts availability.
- Communicate updates regularly with clients to ensure project milestones are met.
- Identify opportunities to expand business with clients.
- Ensure engineers maintain high quality and safety standards on-site.
- Work with the Service Supervisor to produce risk assessments and method statements (RAMS).
- Ensure all service activities comply with health, safety, and quality standards.
- Work with the procurement team to ensure service parts are ordered and delivered on time.
- Reduce delays and ensure efficient use of service resources.
Experience, Qualifications & Skills required:
- ONC / HNC or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- Experience in switchgear systems, power distribution, or electrical service operations.
- Strong organisational and scheduling skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to produce technical documentation and risk assessments.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and scheduling/project management software.
- Maintain a strong commitment to personal and professional excellence.
Additional Information:
- Salary: £45,000 per annum, with overtime opportunities. Negotiable.
- Vehicle: No dedicated vehicle allowance, but a pool vehicle is available for site visits.
