Our client is seeking an experienced Electronics Engineer to join their growing R&D team in Rugby, playing a key role in the design and development of innovative electronic products from concept through to production.

Key Responsibilities

  • The Electronics Engineer will design and develop embedded electronic systems, including schematic capture, component selection, PCB layout, prototyping, and testing.
  • Develop and maintain Embedded C/C firmware for PIC, NXP, or similar microcontrollers.
  • Produce technical documentation, specifications, and product development requirements.
  • Manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) and maintain product data within ERP systems.
  • The Electronics Engineer will support product testing, validation, EMC and safety compliance activities.
  • Provide technical support to production and wider engineering teams, while mentoring junior colleagues.

Requirements

  • Degree qualified in Electronics Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 5 years' experience within a product development environment.
  • Strong experience in electronic hardware design, PCB development, and embedded firmware programming.
  • Knowledge of product safety, EMC, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach.
  • Project management experience would be advantageous.
