Salary: £16-£18 per hour
Hours: Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours per week
Pattern: 4.5-day working week with flexible start/finish times on full days and an early finish at 12:00 on Fridays.
Orion is partnered with a well-established electrical manufacturing business, which is recruiting for an experienced Panel Wireman to join their growing team.
Responsibilities:
- Electrical panel wiring and assembly
- Cabinet/box building
- Direct-to-panel wiring and point-to-point connections
- Wiring up to gear plates and mounting plates
- Reading and working from electrical drawings and schematics
- Crimping, termination and cable preparation
- Installing fuses, meters and associated panel components
- Working to high quality standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Carrying out quality checks to ensure builds meet specification
Experience:
- Previous experience in electrical panel wiring or panel assembly
- Previous cabinet/box building experience
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings
- Strong crimping, wiring and termination skills
- Experience wiring control panels, gear plates or distribution panels
- Electrical qualification to at least Level 2 or equivalent
