to join a growing engineering team designing fabricated, sheet metal, and structural steel products. This is a hands-on role where you'll take ownership of designs throughout the full project lifecycle, ensuring solutions are not only innovative but practical and manufacturable. Key Responsibilities The Mechanical Design Engineer will design and develop fabricated, sheet metal, and steel products for manufacture Produce detailed manufacturing drawings, assemblies, and BOMs. Manage projects from initial concept through to completion and production release. The Mechanical Design Engineer will liaise closely with the shop floor and manufacturing teams to ensure designs can be efficiently produced and assembled. Resolve design and manufacturing challenges through effective communication and practical engineering solutions. Ensure designs meet quality, safety, and customer requirements. Assist with prototyping, testing, and continuous product improvement activities. Support project documentation and engineering change processes. Requirements Minimum
4 years' experience
in a Mechanical Design Engineer position. The Mechanical Design Engineer will need a strong proficiency using
Autodesk Inventor 3D CAD
software. Experience designing fabricated steel, sheet metal, and structural steel products. Ability to create detailed manufacturing drawings and understand GD&T/tolerancing principles. The Mechanical Design Engineer will need excellent communication skills with the confidence to work directly with production and shop floor personnel. Strong problem-solving skills and a practical engineering mindset. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Desirable Experience carrying out or supporting
Finite Element Analysis (FEA) . The Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally need a good understanding of engineering tolerances and manufacturing processes.
