Shifts: 4 on 4 off (Days & Nights, 6am-6pm / 6pm-6am)
As a Machine Technician, your main responsibility is to ensure production machines run safely, efficiently, and to the correct specification. You will support daily operation of moulding and extrusion equipment, carry out adjustments, complete quality checks, and keep the line running with minimal downtime.
The role combines machine operation with light mechanical work including resetting, re-alignments, cleaning, and general upkeep of tooling and machine components. You will work closely with the wider production and engineering teams to maintain output and product quality.
Key Responsibilities for this Machine Technician Role:
- Make sure production machinery consistently runs to the required settings and specifications
- Monitor quality at the packing area, completing regular checks and recording results
- Carry out basic mechanical adjustments, cleaning, refitting and realigning of parts
- Operate machinery safely and support efficient production flow
- Report faults or wear to supervisors and assist with basic remedial actions
- Ensure raw materials are loaded correctly and replenished when needed
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping around machines and work areas
- Follow shift instructions and contribute to improving output and reducing waste
