We are recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established industrial manufacturing business based in Kendal. This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable organisation that invests heavily in its people through training, development and clear progression opportunities.

The Package
- Salary up to £42,000 (typically around £40,000)
- Overtime available and paid at 1.5x rate
- Monday to Friday operation

Shift Pattern
Rotating 8-hour shifts Monday to Friday:
- Week 1: 5am-6am start
- Week 2: 8am-9am start
- Week 3: 11am start
- Week 4: 3pm start
The business expects to phase out the 11am shift in the future.
Weekend overtime is typically available one weekend in every 3 to 4 weeks and is paid at time and a half. xgikmsk
The Role
As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining site reliability and ensuring production equipment operates efficiently.
Responsibilities will include:
- Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
- Reactive maintenance and breakdown repairs
- Mechanical fault finding
- Equipment inspections
- Continuous improvement activities
- Supporting production and operational teams
- Identifying opportunities to improve equipment performance and reliability
