We are delighted to be partnering with a leading, high-volume manufacturer. As part of their ongoing growth, we are looking for a Team Shift Supervisor to join their fast-paced assembly operation to support with increased business demand.
Role Overview
As the Team Shift Supervisor, you will lead a team within the Assembly department, ensuring production targets are met, workflows run smoothly, and quality standards remain consistently high. This is a hands-on leadership role where your presence, energy, and ability to motivate a long-standing workforce will be essential. You will split your time between the shop floor and office, managing KPIs, supporting process improvements, and driving productivity in a fast-moving environment where kitchens are delivered within 24 hours of order.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate a team of 5-10 within the Assembly area
- Maintain output, quality, and safety KPIs across rotating shifts
- Hold individuals accountable while building trust within long-serving teams
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean and 5S
- Align with the opposite shift manager to ensure consistent communication and workflow
- Ensure units are assembled in sequence and ready for delivery within tight timescales
- Identify inefficiencies, revamp SOPs, and implement process improvements
- Work closely with planning, production, and senior leadership teams
Experience & Skills Required
- Previous experience in manufacturing or production leadership
- Proven ability to manage tough or long-standing teams
- Confidence and resilience - able to hold people accountable while remaining fair and approachable
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Experience working to KPIs and delivering against productivity targets
- Any exposure to lean, 5S, or continuous improvement methods is beneficial
