An established industrial services business is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead their engineering team at their small, but high-compliance production facility. This role will be approximately 60% managerial and admin, and 40% hands on. Open to Senior or Lead Engineers looking for the next step in their careers!

Salary & Package:

  • £45k-£50k salary (dependent on experience)

  • Shifts: Days only 8.30am-5pm flexible

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the engineering team, managing performance, absence, and Health & Safety training.
  • Team consists of 1 engineer and 1 technical cleaner.
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety Policy, legislative requirements, and approved codes of practice.
  • Plan and coordinate resources to meet production requirements for ongoing maintenance, machine replacement, and unplanned issues.
  • Monitor and continuously improve machine availability and OEE.
  • Manage labour and MRU (maintenance, repairs, utilities) budgets in partnership with the GM.
  • Provide training to engineers and operators on new machinery using documentation and safe systems of work.
  • Investigate and implement corrective actions to eliminate unplanned downtime and improve working practices.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Level 3 engineering qualification with a mechanical bias preferred.
  • Proven experience managing an engineering team in a production or process facility.
  • Strong Health & Safety focus minimum IOSH qualification required (NEBOSH preferred or willingness to obtain).
  • Experience managing budgets, forecasting, and financial planning.
  • Knowledge of CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System) TOM experience advantageous.
  • Computer literate including PLCs, reporting, and data analysis.
  • Excellent communicator with direct people management experience.
