We are currently recruiting for an experienced
Metal Fabricator
to join a well-established engineering and manufacturing business in the West Midlands. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a variety of bespoke heavy engineering projects, producing high-quality fabricated components and structures within a busy workshop environment. Key Responsibilities
Read and interpret detailed engineering and fabrication drawings Fabricate components using mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium Carry out cutting, forming, assembly and tack welding duties Perform MIG welding to a high standard Operate workshop machinery including guillotines, press brakes and overhead cranes Inspect completed work and identify any non-conforming materials or components Complete fabrication work accurately and within agreed timescales Maintain high housekeeping standards and comply with all health and safety procedures Complete relevant documentation and assist with additional workshop tasks when required Skills & Experience Required
Previous experience as a Metal Fabricator within an engineering or manufacturing environment Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and welding symbols MIG welding experience Experience working with mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good communication skills Comfortable carrying out physically demanding tasks including lifting, bending and manual handling What's on Offer
