Are you an experienced English teacher or classroom professional looking for immediate work covering classes across schools in the Brandon / Suffolk area? Orion Recruitment Solutions Group is recruiting English Teachers and Cover Supervisors for fixed-term roles starting ASAP until July. You will support local schools by delivering high-quality English lessons, supervising classes when teachers are absent, and helping ensure continuity of learning for pupils.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver planned English lessons and classroom activities to pupils across Key Stages as required
- Supervise classes during planned and unplanned teacher absence, ensuring students remain focused and productive
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Provide feedback to teaching staff on pupil engagement, progress and behaviour
- Support wider school initiatives and contribute positively to the school environment
About You
- Have experience teaching English or supervising classes in a school setting
- Can confidently manage pupils and maintain a positive learning environment
- Are flexible, reliable and able to work across different schools and age groups
- Hold an Enhanced DBS or are willing to obtain one (required)
- Desirable (but not essential): Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Prior experience in cover supervision or English teaching roles
