Our client is a leading North Sea operaor currently recruiting for the position of Senior Geophysicist on a staff basis (hybrid working).
Responsibilities
- Lead geophysical evaluations to support exploration, infill drilling and new venture opportunities.
- Integrate seismic and subsurface data to identify, mature and high-grade development prospects.
- Provide geophysical input into well planning, prospect evaluation and field development activities.
- Communicate technical insights clearly to multidisciplinary teams and non-technical stakeholders.
- Manage and oversee geophysical studies delivered internally and through external partners and contractors.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support the delivery of high-quality subsurface outcomes across the business.
Experience & Qualifications
- Degree qualified in Geophysics, Geology or a related discipline, ideally with postgraduate study.
- Significant oil and gas industry experience, preferably gained within an operating company environment.
- Strong technical expertise in seismic interpretation and geophysical evaluation.
- Proficiency in industry-standard interpretation software, ideally including Petrel.
- Broad understanding of subsurface disciplines and their integration within exploration and development projects.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative approach and a commitment to continuous improvement.
