Senior Cement Production & Kiln Design Consultant Contract Opportunity | Outside IR35

We are seeking an experienced Cement Production & Kiln Design Consultant to support a major industrial project currently progressing through the bid and development stage.

The successful candidate will provide specialist technical expertise relating to clinker production, kiln systems, and cement manufacturing processes.

Initially, the role will involve supporting project development, technical reviews, and bid activities on an ad hoc basis.

Subject to project award, there is potential for a more significant full-time involvement during the delivery phase.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical expertise on clinker production and cement manufacturing processes.
  • Support project bid development and technical proposal activities.
  • Review and advise on kiln, pyroprocessing, and associated plant design.
  • Identify process optimisation and operational improvement opportunities.
  • Contribute to feasibility studies, process assessments, and technical evaluations.
  • Support engineering teams with specialist process knowledge.
  • Participate in technical workshops, design reviews, and client discussions as required.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience within the cement manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of clinker production and rotary kiln operations.
  • Experience of cement plant design, modification, optimisation, or expansion projects.
  • Understanding of pyroprocessing systems and associated equipment.
  • Ability to provide high-level technical guidance to multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Previous consultancy, owner's engineer, EPC, or operational plant experience would be advantageous.
